“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” - Mark Twain
Having spent time in more than 25 different countries and having seen almost all 50 states, we couldn’t agree more. It’s this travel that has grown our perspective, made us more open-minded, and made us stronger better people.
Here are some of our upcoming events we’d love to see you at.
Deliberate Cold Exposure
Deliberate Cold Exposure has so many benefits. Our Owner/Operator, CT, has been doing this, recently, every day. Sometimes twice a day! We want to open this experience up to anyone who wants to try, hang out, and enjoy the camaraderie.
Where: KLĒNR HQ Parking Lot
340 George Bush Dr.
College Station, TX 77840
When: March 11th at 10AM - Don't be late!
What to Bring:
-Change of clothes
Cost: Free. Just let us know if you're coming so we can plan... and don't flake out.
Bathrooms will be available to change. We'll have some hot chocolate, coffee, and hot water served inside for you as well. After everyone has had a chance to get in some cold water, we'll grab food in town somewhere.
COLORADO HIGH ELEVATION CABIN
Colorado is home to many remote cabins at elevation with phenomenal views. There’s beauty in staying in a cabin where there is no electricity, you procure your own water, and your source of heat for both warmth and cooking comes from the firewood you feed the stoves. Even though these cabins are nice, you will feel a deep connection with nature and your existence among it. Nearby are plenty of trails to explore as well as the chance to do some bouldering. If spending time enjoying your surroundings is more your speed then this is just the trip for you.
Cabin is located at just above 11,000’ about one hour from Leadville.
Experience level required: If you’re just wanting to observe during the bouldering portion (which is still fun to hangout), no experience is required. Being in good physical condition or being well adjusted to higher elevation is highly recommended.
When: Mid July
More details coming in early 2023.
NEW YORK CITY 9/11
Visting New York City will be our one urban adventure where we honor those we lost on 9/11 and those who made sacrifices that day and years folowing this tragedy. We will visit both well-known memorials and several that most aren’t aware of. You will learn about some of the sacrifices our first responders made and get to see other little-known pieces of history associated with 9/11. CT will be your host giving you the perspective of those in NYC that day as well as the role the Army’s Special Forces played in the follow on war on terrorism. This event will be family-friendly but recommended for 11 and up.
When: September 9th - 13th
Experience level required: Ability to walk medium distances (.5 to 1 mile) at a time.
Limited spots will be available.
More details coming in early 2023.
